OTTAWA, Ont. — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has updated a food recall warning it issued last week to include additional raw beef and raw veal products.
The recall is the result of concerns about E.coli, but the CFIA says there have been no reported illnesses associated with it.
Various raw beef and raw veal products sold across Ontario, including Thunder Bay, and some other provinces, have been recalled from the marketplace.
The CFIA says consumer should avoid eating the products, and distributors, retailers and food service establishments should not sell or use them.
The products were packaged or sold between November 2018 and July 2019.
The agency says the recall was triggered by its inspection activities. Details are available at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency site.
