THUNDER BAY - Those residing in the district over the age of 60 wishing to get a COVID-19 vaccine and haven’t yet made an appointment will need to wait a little longer.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit said in a social media post on Thursday that all appointments for individuals over the age of 60 at its vaccination clinic at the CLE Coliseum have been filled.

The health unit said more appointments will be made available soon and a public announcement will be made at that time.

The province recently entered phase two of its vaccine rollout strategy and on Tuesday, April 7, those over the age of 60 became eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Three pharmacies in the city of Thunder Bay will also be offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to individuals over the age of 55.
