Investigators have identified the victim of a fatal house fire near Nipigon.
Officials with the Nipigon detachment of the OPP say the body of Fern Marquardt, 66, of Lyon Township, was found at the site of a house fire in Lyon Township Friday.
Police and firefighters responded to the house fire shortly after 9 p.m., and later discovered the woman’s body.
An investigation into the cause of death and the cause of the fire continues.
