THUNDER BAY -- City police have identified the victim of a recent homicide.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials on Thursday morning said Leslie Ruben Perrault, 64, of Fort Frances, Ont., died after an incident at a Machar Avenue home.

City police officers originally responded to the scene of a suspicious death at 135 Machar Avenue Sunday evening. On Tuesday the case officially became a homicide investigation, and police said they had arrested two suspects.

Chauncy Lyle Grover and Alyssa Lynn Jourdain, both 44, have each been charged with second-degree murder. Both suspects were residents of the home.

On Tuesday, Thunder Bay Police Service executive officer Chris Adams told local media that the suspects are involved in a common-law relationship and are believed to be the lone two residents of the home.

The relationship between the victim and two suspects is not known at this time.

Both suspects are expected to appear in court Sept. 16.

None of the charges in this case have been proven in court.
