Victim of Miles Street homicide identified

THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police have released the name of the victim of a homicide in an East Miles Street residence last week.

He was John Mark Reuben, 28, of Thunder Bay.

Reuben was found dead by officers responding to a weapons call in the 900 block of East Miles just after 2:45 a.m. on June 24.

The same day, police announced they had charged Joseph Hubbard of Thunder Bay, 24, with second degree murder.

The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Police said Tuesday the crime scene has now been released, but their investigation is ongoing.

As of Friday, this was Thunder Bay's seventh homicide of 2022, but the eighth occurred the next day on Crown Street.
