THUNDER BAY -- A suspect who tried to take a woman's purse near the Thunder Bay casino is being sought by police.
The Thunder Bay Police Service on Thursday released surveillance video of the suspect in the alleged incident, which occurred just before midnight on June 8.
A woman was walking along Pearl Street near the casino parking lot when the man approached, attempting to rob her of her purse. The suspect, who struggled with the victim, fled when a friend of the victim came to her aid.
The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, about six-feet tall with a skinny build, and was wearing a blue or grey sweatshirt and light coloured shorts at the time of the incident.
