THUNDER BAY — Ontario Provincial Police have charged one of the motorists involved in a head-on collision with a transport truck on Highway 61 on Monday evening.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.
The accident occurred at the Gillespie Road intersection near the Founders' Museum.
Video of the aftermath was posted on Facebook by a motorist who described the scene as terrifying, noting that she narrowly missed being involved herself.
OPP say the collision involved three vehicles – a tractor-trailer, a minivan and an SUV.
The SUV hit the transport truck head-on, then struck the minivan.
The driver of the SUV has been charged with careless driving.
