THUNDER BAY – A vigil and round dance will be held on Monday night to mark the first anniversary of the trailer-hitch attack on Barbara Kentner.

The 34-year-old woman on Jan. 29, 2017 was walking with her sister on Cameron Street when the attack occurred.

Kentner died last July of injuries suffered in the attack. Her alleged attacker, Brayden Bushby, is facing second-degree murder charges.

Described as a peaceful gathering open to all and a stand against racial violence in Thunder Bay, the vigil will take place at the intersection of Mackenzie and Cameron streets at 6:30 p.m.

Anyone attending is advised to dress warmly.
