Vikings fall short in bronze-medal game

STRATFORD, Ont.  -- The Hammarskjold Vikings will return from the OFSAA 'AA' girls basketball championship with a fourth-place finish.

The Vikings led Arnprior 22-17 at halftime of their bronze-medal game on Saturday, but were outscored 25-5 coming out of the break and wound up on the wrong side of a 48-33 defeat.

Earlier in the day the Vikings lost for the first time in the tournament, narrowly missing a spot in the final with a 52-50 loss to Centennial.
