Visiting drug dealers sent packing: Police

The Thunder Bay Police Service has been receiving ongoing complaints in regards to active drug dealing at two residences in the 100 block of Picton Avenue.

The Thunder Bay Police Service has been receiving ongoing complaints in regards to active drug dealing at two residences in the 100 block of Picton Avenue.

Just after midnight on the 26th of April officers with the Thunder Bay Police Drug and Gang Units with assistance from the Emergency Task Unit executed simultaneous Controlled Drug Search Warrants at both of these residences as a result approximately $10,000 in cash was recovered along with $16,000 worth of morphine pills and small amount of marijuana.

All five have been remanded into custody.

  • A 30-year-old Montreal man now faces charges of Trafficking Morphine and Marihuana along with proceeds of crime exceeding $5000.00
  • A 35-year-old Thunder Bay man faces charges of Trafficking Morphine and Marihuana along with proceeds of crime exceeding $5000.00
  • A 22-year-old Ottawa man faces charges of breach of recognizance and probation
  • A 22-year-old Montreal man faces a breach of recognizance charge
  • A 22-year-old Hamilton man faces a breach of probation charge
