Voting hours have been extended at one of the polls in the new Kiiwetinoong riding.
Elections Ontario on Thursday announced it will be keeping the poll open until 12 a.m. Central Standard Time. Results will not be made available until all polls in the riding are closed.
The riding, which was created from much of the northern territory that had previously been part of the Kenora-Rainy River electoral district, has a population of nearly 33,000 and encompasses 294,000 square kilometres.
The field includes Green candidate Christine Penner Polle, Liberal candidate Doug Lawrance, New Democrat candidate Sol Mamakwa, the Northern Ontario Party's Kenneth Jones and Progressive Conservative candidate Clifford Bull.
