Wabigoon resident charged with trafficking cocaine

Police investigation of a suspicious vehicle on Government Street led to the June 28 arrest.

WABIGOON – A Wabigoon resident has been charged with cocaine trafficking after a report of a suspicious vehicle at a Dryden business.

Ontario Provincial Police on Sunday said on June 28, just before 4 a.m., they investigated the vehicle, on Government Street, which led to the arrest and the seizure of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, as well as evidence of further drug trafficking.

A 40-year-old woman from Wabigoon was charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, cocaine.

The accused was released from custody and is expected back in court in Dryden on Aug. 25.
