Unseasonably warm temperatures have allowed contractors to continue working on paving projects around the city.

Typically for this time of year, the roadwork season has come and gone. But this year, Engineering Manager Pat Mauro said road work has fallen behind schedule, especially when it comes to top coat paving.

Mauro added as paving is dependent on above zero temperatures, crews are scrambling to complete the work.

Some larger projects are at the top of the list, including the Algoma Street project. He said any work not in dire need of completion, is scheduled near the end of the month.

Mauro expects road work will be substantially complete by the end of November with minor details added to spring projects next year.
