KENORA, Ont – A 44-year-old man from Washagamis Bay faces impaired driving charges following a motor vehicle collision.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a motor vehicle collision Friday shortly after 3 a.m. on Highway 17 near Rush Bay Road.
After speaking with the driver, police determined he had been consuming alcohol and arrested him at the scene.
The 44-year-old and the female passenger were transported to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver has been charged with impaired driving.
He will appear in Kenora court Oct. 4 to answer to his charges.
