Treaty 3 Police and Kenora OPP say a weekend death of a Washagamis First Nation man is no longer considered suspicious.

Emergency officials were called to a home in the First Nation community Saturday after the body of 39-year old Matthew Cherry was found.

He was declared dead at the scene, and police originally labeled the death as being suspicious.

Following a post mortem Monday at Lake of the Woods Hospital, it was determined there was no cause for suspicion in regard to the death.

Police say however, say they are continuing to investigate the incident.
