Wawa man faces crystal methamphetamine charge

OPP say officers discovered the drug in Thursday search of Wawa residence

WAWA, Ont. - A Wawa man is facing charges after a drug bust by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) earlier this week.

Police say they executed a search warrant at a Winston Road residents around 5 p.m. Thursday, locating an undisclosed quantity of crystal methamphetamine.

Officers from the Superior East OPP detachment as well as the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) participated in the operation.

A 36-year-old man now faces a charge of possession, schedule I. The accused was released from custody with a court date set for Aug. 10.
