Weapons charge

A 44-year-old man is in custody Tuesday morning after police recovered a shotgun from a May Street home. Police say the received a report of a man brandishing the weapon, which had allegedly been reported stolen.

A 44-year-old man is in custody Tuesday morning after police recovered a shotgun from a May Street home.

Police say the received a report of a man brandishing the weapon, which had allegedly been reported stolen. Police said the shotgun was not loaded and the suspect did not have any ammunition with him at the time of his arrest. 

The suspect, who was not named by police, faces numerous charges, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, weapons dangerous to the public, resisting arrest and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The man is expected to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
