Weather statement warns of ‘significant snowfall’ for the city

THUNDER BAY – Special weather statement in effect for the city of Thunder Bay.

According to Environment Canada, an approaching low pressure system will bring snow to the city late Friday night through Saturday.

Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are expected. 

In addition, winds will reach 50 kilometres an hour resulting in poor visibility in blowing snow.

Warning will be issued as the event draws near.
