THUNDER BAY — Hydro One repair crews have had their work cut out for them today in rural areas surrounding Thunder Bay.

Wet snow that fell overnight also brought tree branches down on power lines, leaving more than 2000 customers in the dark early Monday morning.

Just before noon, Hydro One reported that 600 customers were still without power, but line crews had a total of 34 separate locations to work on, ranging from the U.S. border to Trout Lake, and west to the Nolalu area.

The utility was estimating that repairs would not be completed until 11:00 p.m. Monday.
