Saturday
Blessing of the Fleet will be held at Pier 3, the Royal Canadian Navy Pier, at Marina Park. At 10:30 a.m., the Macgillivary Pipe Band will conduct a tattoo and at 11 a.m., a service of blessing will be held with a parade of vessels. A Midsummer Night's Bean Artisan Crafts and Vendor Market will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at Rose N Crantz Roasting Co.
Back for the second year, the Chalk the Block sidewalk art contest will take place on the block of Cumberland Street South between Red River Road and Park Avenue from noon to 4 p.m.
Pickle-Fest will be hosted at noon at the Sleeping Giant Brew Co. The free event will feature pickled beer, a pickle-eating contest and pickle-inspired cuisine.
A Storytime with Mz Molly & Friendz will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Waverley Resource Library. The Thunder Bay Border Cats will star as special guests.
Block Party will present its first-ever Tug of War Competition in support of Our Kid's Count from 3 p.m. on the block of Cumberland Street South between Red River Road and Park Avenue. Teams of five will compete for fame, glory and $500.
A Supreme Drag Sovereign Pageant 2025 will be held at the Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel's Provincial Room at 7 p.m. From the nation's capital, "Canada's Drag Superstar" Miss Jade London will be burning the stage up this year alongside Miss ThunderPride 2016, Lily Corangie-Tremayne, Miss ThunderPride 2017 and Ysha Tremayne-Delacorte.
Wilson-Sabaz will play at the Industry at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 and 19+.
A Thunder Bay Border Cats game will be held at 6:35 p.m. at the Port Arthur Stadium.
A final showing of 'Guys and Dolls,' the musical, will be played at the Trinity Hall from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 and available online.
Whiskey Club, a quarterly whiskey symposium, will be held at 9 p.m. at the Red Lion Smokehouse.
DJ Rogue will play at the Foundry at 10 p.m. Tickets are $5 and 19+.
Three Kord Killers will play at the Wayland Bar and Grill at 10 p.m. Tickets are $5 and 19+.
Sunday
Sunday in the Park will be held at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the North Side of the Chippewa Park Pavilion. The outdoor free event will feature concerts.
TAYLOR: A Tribute to the Eras of Taylor Swift will be held at 2 p.m. at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium.
A Thunder Bay Border Cats game will be held at 5:05 p.m. at the Port Arthur Stadium. A fireworks date is planned for June 30.
TINA: The Ultimate Tribute to the Queen of Rock ‘n' Roll will be held at 7 pm at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium.
All weekend
The Lakehead Archers at Gammondale Farm are hosting the Ontario 3D Championship Archery Ontario this weekend. This premier event will bring together top archers from across Ontario to compete in a dynamic outdoor setting that challenges both accuracy and endurance. The event begins at 9 a.m. daily.
Canada Day Long Weekend at the Thunder Bay Museum will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents are invited to explore a new exhibit commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Pacific Railway and participate in a colouring contest for the kids.
