Markets:

The Thunder Bay Country Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition: 425 Northern Ave. head on down to buy local groceries, crafts, and gifts from the talented, hard-working local people who created them.

The Hub Bazaar Peddler’s Pop Up Market is happening from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual Halloween best costume contest will be in full swing. Send us a pic or pop in and get a pic at one of our feature walls. Free admission. 507 Victoria Ave East 

Sports: 

SUCCI and Confederation College Athletics are hosting the 2022 Ontario Colleges Athletics Association’s (OCAA’s) Provincial Cross Country Running Championships from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lappe Nordic Centre.

Fundraisers:

 

The Thunder Bay District Humane Society is proud to present Tails And Trails a fundraiser to raise vital funds for shelter dogs in need in honour of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. Gather your family, friends, and furry pals to walk for a good cause from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Boulevard Lake Recreation Trail.

Workshops:

The Northwestern Ontario Writers Workshop presents Writing for Children: The art and craft of creating for young readers with Jean E. Pendziwol. Join award-winning author Jean E. Pendziwol for a comprehensive overview of writing for the young reader at the Mary J. L. Black Library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. $10 for members $40 for non-members.

Back by popular demand! Museum After Dark!!  Join in as they investigate paranormal activity at the Thunder Bay Museum! A portion of all ticket proceeds are given back to the museum.  For more details and to purchase tickets:

Festivals:

The air is getting chilly, the leaves are changing colour, and that autumn mood is settling in! What better way to enjoy the season than at Pumpkinfest? Head out to Gammondale Farm for some fall time family fun. You can pick out the perfect pumpkin, get spooky in the "BOO” Barn, and take a shot at the Corn Cannon! Children/Famiy Events:

Head out to the West Thunder Community Centre for a Family Halloween Party from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.. Purchase your tickets at cityofthunderbay.perfectmind.com or call the hotline at 625-8463! Canteen open for lunch, cash only. Hot dogs, sausages & hamburgers. Parents and infants do not require a ticket. Halloween Party for children 10 years and younger.

Don’t miss the 25th Annual Harvest Craft Market at the Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre -700 River St from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Local crafters will be selling unique handmade items including jewellery, sewing, stained glass, pottery, wood carvings, knitting, and more!
