The Sleeping Giant Loppet is this Saturday! There will be no registration and no fee to participate. Skiers will be able to start at one of three locations: Bay’s End to Lookout Trail (Pass Lake) - very limited parking, Thunder Bay Lookout Road (Rita Lake) - limited parking, Marie Louise Lake Campground – good parking. Opening at SilverCity this weekend is The Batman. From Warner Bros. Pictures comes The Batman, with director Matt Reeves (the “Planet of the Apes” films) at the helm and with Robert Pattinson (“Tenet,” “The Lighthouse,” “Good Time”) starring as Gotham City’s vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne.
The Cambrian Players' production of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike is showing Saturday evening. Come out and see the play written by Christopher Durang and directed by Julie MacCoy! SALT BABY by Falen Johnson opened this week. The story of a young Indigenous woman whose light skin sets her apart, both on the rez and in the city, and she is determined to figure out how she fits into these two very different worlds. Salt Baby is a modern comedy about finding out who you really are. This play contains adult language. Live@Loch with Musical Guest Just Me: Residents are invited to the Loch Lounge to share some musical memories with Just Me… one voice and one guitar. This acoustic solo act will bring you a great show featuring classic music. Covering songs you’ll remember from the 80s and 90s. The show is free of charge and open to all ages 3:15 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Tennyson King, Danielle Pollari, and Ryan MacDonald are playing at Urban Abbey after a change in venue. Residents are invited to a cozy, intimate night of live music with Ryan MacDonald, Danielle Pollari, and Tennyson King. Doors open at 7 p.m.. Show starts at 8 p.m.. Pay what you can.
