Saturday, September 17

Markets:

The Thunder Bay Country Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition: 425 Northern Ave. head on down to buy local groceries, crafts, and gifts from the talented, hard-working local people who created them.

Festivals:

Wake the Giant Music Festival is back! The world-class event that celebrates inclusivity and Indigenous culture will make a loud return to the stage Saturday.  As always, the festival will also include celebrity appearances, a live art installation, cultural performances, and an Indigenous Craft Market. Tickets are still available here!

Live Music:

DLMT is playing at Atmos. Head down at 10 p.m. to listen to an artist who has been making his mark on the house music scene over the last few years. Tickets are available here. ($25) ages 19+ 

DJ Big D featuring DJ Rogue will be spinning the hits from the 90s to the present at the Foundry. Show starts at 10 PM, $10 at the door, 19+ Photo ID. 

Sunday, September 18

Markets:

It's time for the third annual It's Flannel Market. Grab some friends and go shop many amazing local vendors at 1925 Oliver Road from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fundraisers:

For the first time since 2019, hundreds of Thunder Bay residents will participate en masse in the annual Terry Fox Run this Sunday at Boulevard Lake from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This year, a limited supply of newly-designed Terry Fox Run t-shirts will be available for purchase for $25 each, and only cash or a cheque can be accepted. The five-kilometre run around Boulevard Lake begins with registration in the St. Ignatius High School parking lot at 1 p.m., followed by an official start at 2 p.m. But participants can do the walk or run anytime between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
