THUNDER BAY -- A north side shed fire led to major damage to the structure and also damaged the exterior of a house on an adjacent property.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue said they were called to the Wilson Street fire just after 7 p.m. on Sunday and arrived to find smoke and fire billowing from the shed, the flames impinging on a house on Ambrose Street, which runs parallel to Wilson.

An attack using 45-millimetre hand lines was initiated and the fire was extinguished.

There were no injuries in the incident and the occupant of the Ambrose Street house was able to escape unharmed.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
