THUNDER BAY - Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for Thunder Bay.

The government weather service on Saturday said between 15 and 25 centimetres of snow could fall on the city by Monday evening. The snow is expected to start on Sunday afternoon.

By Wednesday, between 30 and 40 centimetres of snow could blanket the area.

Environment Canada is laying the blame on a slow-moving Colorado low that will bring snow over the area for several days.
