Wisk Air, First Nations communities sign business deal
Three First Nation communities have inked a deal with Wisk Air Helicopters.
Webequie, Fort Hope and marten Falls First Nations signed the deal with Wisk Air Helicopters to allow those communities to participate in business matters specifically related to mining.
Wisk Air company president Mark Wiskemann says the agreement took a couple years to finalize, but in the end it’s a fair deal for all parties.
Wiskemann adds that these communities are the rightful stakeholders of the land and this agreement makes it easier to facilitate meetings with outside industrial parties.
