Two witnesses and an off-duty police officer helped catch a man who was carrying a concealed weapon.
Two females saw a man standing in front of a Fort William Rd. LCBO on Friday. The females say the man wore a scarf pulled over his nose and pulled out what appeared to be a handgun. The witnesses called 911.
An off-duty police officer assisted in the arrest when he saw what appeared to be a handgun. Both officers took the man to the ground. The gun was a BB gun, which police say looked close to a modern handgun.
Police charged the man with carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest. Further chargers could be laid.
