Woman arrested following stabbing

Police charged a 19-year-old-woman with aggravated assault following a stabbing outside a south side bar.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a fight outside of Newfie’s Pub around 2 a.m. Saturday. Police say two women were fighting and when they arrived one of the women was stabbed with a knife. Police took the accused into custody without incident.

Paramedics took the victim to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries. She was treated and released.

The 19-year-old will appear in court Saturday.
