THUNDER BAY — OPP has laid impaired charges on a Thunder Bay driver.
During a R.I.D.E program in the early hours of Thursday morning, provincial police conducted a roadside screening test on a driver along Hwy 11/17.
Police determined the 29-year-old female driver was intoxicated by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
The accused was released from custody and has a future court date.
The OPP reminds drivers that the mandatory alcohol screening law allows police with an approved alcohol screening device to demand a roadside breath sample from any lawfully stopped driver without having reasonable suspicion that a driver is alcohol-impaired.
