SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. -- A 36-year-old woman who originally flagged down provincial police officers to complain about the product sold by her drug dealer is facing impaired driving charges.
Sioux Lookout OPP officers last Monday were stopped by the Sachigo Lake First Nation woman, who was driving a truck. The woman told the officers she wanted to tell on her drug dealer, police said in a news release.
The officers observed the woman to be under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested for impaired driving. Subsequent testing at the detachment found she was nearly two times over the legal limit.
The woman is facing multiple impaired driving charges as well as several Highway Traffic Act offences including being a G1 driver without an accompanying driver, failing to properly display the licence plate and failing to surrender the vehicle permit, driver's licence and proof of insurance.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Sioux Lookout court.
