Woman in hospital after collision at intersection of Bay and Water streets

THUNDER BAY – A woman was rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle at rush hour Wednesday evening. Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Water and Bay streets shortly after 5 p.m.

THUNDER BAY – A woman was rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle at rush hour Wednesday evening.

Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Water and Bay streets shortly after 5 p.m. after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.

The condition of the victim is not immediately known. Unconfirmed reports indicate the victim was unconscious.

Anyone who knows the identity of the victim is asked to contact police.

She is described as being in her 40s, about 5'9" in height with curly shoulder length auburn hair and blue hazel eys. At the time of the collision she was wearing pink Tiger Asic running shoes, green running tights with light blue shorts over top, a light green shirt and a beige and light blue wool hat.

The intersection had been closed for much of the evening.
