DRYDEN - Ontario Provincial Police in Dryden are investigating the discovery of a deceased female in Wainwright Township.
According to an OPP media release, community volunteer searchers discovered the body of a deceased female on Mar. 25 at approximately 5:25 p.m. near the Chomitsa Trailer Park.
The female’s identity has not been confirmed and a post mortem examination will be conducted but a location and time have not been determined.
The discovery follows OPP issuing a missing person release on Mar. 18 for Emily ‘Chico’ Brown, who went missing from Wabigoon Lake First Nation and was last seen in Dryden.
The North West Region Crime Unit and Dryden OPP are continuing to investigate the discovery of the deceased female and Brown’s disappearance.
