CALGARY – Things aren’t looking great for Trevor Bonot and Oye-Sem Won at the Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship in Calgary.

The Thunder Bay curlers gave up a pair of four-point ends on Monday and went down to a 9-4 defeat at the hands of Toronto’s Lisa Weagle and John Epping, dropping to 2-3, good for solo fourth in the Pool E standings.

Weagle and Smith solidified their grasp on a championship round berth, improving to 4-1.

Bonot and Won clawed back a bit with a pair in the second to cut the deficit to 4-2, but wound up conceding the match after six ends.

Team Northern Ontario will wrap up round-robin play on Tuesday against Saskatchewan’s Mike Armstrong and Ashley Quick.
