THUNDER BAY – Drivers can expect some delays on Highway 61 as temporary lane overnight lane closures are scheduled to begin on Monday.
The Ministry of Transportation said the first highway closure between the airport and Broadway Avenue is expected to happen June 4.
The shut-downs will take place from 10 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. with a detour route set up along Neebing and Broadway avenues.
During the daytime hours, there will be a reduced speed limit on Highway 61.
Concrete workers with the contractor Toronto Zenith are on site and have begun some preliminary work on the underside of the overpass at Rosslyn Road.
They are also planning to do concrete repairs on the Canadian Pacific Rail overpass and underpass.
Construction is expected to be completed in November.
