Youth faces impaired driving charge in Dryden

A 17-year-old faces impaired charges following a single vehicle collision in Dryden.

DRYDEN, Ont. – A 17-year-old now faces impaired driving charges following a single vehicle collision in Dryden.

Dryden Police Service officers attended a single motor vehicle collision Saturday, Nov. 24  on Gordon Road where a car went off the road into the ditch.

Police say the 17-year-old driver was charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle and driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol.

The accused faces further provincial charges including having care and control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available, person under 19 possessing cannabis and driving a motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
