AA Queens make tournament final in Duluth

It's off to the championship final for the Thunder Bay Winning Streak Charters Bantam AA Queens. On Saturday the Queens outshot Elk River 40-1 through two periods, but were tied 1-1 heading into the third.

On Saturday the Queens outshot Elk River 40-1 through two periods, but were tied 1-1 heading into the third. But goals by Claire Sandelovich and Emily Oleksuk gave Thunder Bay a 3-1 advantage and Samantha Isbell put it away late in the third, scoring with four seconds left to give the Queens a 4-1 triumph.

In their second game of the day the Queens had an easier time of it, blanking Centennial 6-0.

Kayla Koevoet, Darah Doyle, Isbell, Lydia Johnson, Karli Nummikoski and Whitney Scott were the goal scorers.
