Bases-clearing double sinks Cats in fourth straight loss

The Border Cats continue to struggle. On Sunday they dropped their fourth straight, falling 9-6 to the host Duluth Huskies, dropping their first-half record to 7-12.

On Sunday they dropped their fourth straight, falling 9-6 to the host Duluth Huskies, dropping their first-half record to 7-12.

Duluth’s Alex Wojcieckowski put the game away in the fifth, blasting a bases-clearing double that opened up a 7-3 lead at the time.

Tyler Stetson was one of the lone bright spots for the Border Cats, going 2-for-4 at the dish with an RBI and a run scored.

Jordan Church, making his first start of 2013, took the loss and dropped to 0-1.

The Cats and Huskies complete their two-game set on Monday at Wade Stadium.
