The Duluth Huskies have swept the Border Cats, putting the Thunder Bay team a game under .500.

A two-run, bottom-of-the-ninth rally led the Huskies to victory over the Cats (7-6). It was the third loss the Cats suffered in their three-game series played in Duluth.

Huskies’ first-baseman Adam Humes was the hero for Duluth. Facing two outs, Humes hit the walk-off, two-run single that locked up the series sweep. That hit forced Zak Miller into taking the loss, leaving him with a season record of 1-1.

But the Cats don’t have time to dwell on their misfortunes on the field. The Thunder Bay baseball club heads to Rochester for a short two-game series against the Honkers.

Both those games will be played at 8:05 p.m. and can be viewed live online.

The Border Cats return home for a two-game series against the Wilmar Stingers on Thursday, June 16 and Friday June 17.

Both those games are scheduled to being at 7:05 p.m. at Port Arthur Stadium.
