It isn’t a sport you hear about very often, if ever, but this weekend the city will feature a bike polo event.
Thunder Bay Bike Polo is hosting the tournament and organizer Rob Burrought says interested people can still get involved.
“We do have registered teams that will be competing for prizes,” Burrough told CKPR Radio during an interview Thursday. “We will have time slots for people watching if they want to try it out. All we ask is that if you have a helmet that fits properly, bring it.”

The tournament will take place at Boulevard Lake on the corner of Rita and Lyon Streets on Saturday. Registration is set for 9 a.m.
