THUNDER BAY -- Oye-Sem Won and Trevor Bonot are in it to win it.

The Thunder Bay duo scored four in the first end on Thursday and cruised to an easy 9-2 win over former Olympic champion Kaitlyn Lawes and her partner, Conner Lawes inside the Calgary bubble.

Up 5-1 after trading singles in the second and third ends, Team Northern Ontario stole two more in the fourth to go up 7-1 and tapped brooms after seven following another steal of one.

Bonot and Won are in a three-way tie atop the Pool E standings, opening at 1-0.

Next up for the Northern Ontario hopefuls is a Draw 13 match on Friday against Albertan's John Morris and Danielle Schmiemann, a team coached by Al Hackner.
