The Border Cats’ roster is now at a dozen.
New manager Andy Judkins is bringing two players from Central Arizona College where he is an assistant coach. First baseman Ryan Casillas is batting .298 this season for the 34-8 Vaqueros. At 6’3” and 210 pounds, Casillas has hit seven doubles, two homeruns and 22 RBIs in 35 games.
Lefty Greg Ryan is 2-1 with a 4.30 ERA in eight games for the team.
University of Texas-San Antonio junior righthander Clint Sharp is 1-4 with a 6.06 ERA in 11 games so far.
Another righthander, Woody Nesbitt is from Conway, South Carolina’s Coastal Carolina University along with freshman outfielder Luke Willis.
Gonzaga University sophomore outfielder Payden Cawley Lamb is batting .268 this season.
