The Border Cats have made a few more tweaks to the lineup as they head down the first-half stretch.
The Border Cats have made a few more tweaks to the lineup as they head down the first-half stretch.

The Northwoods League club on Monday announced that CF Tyler Pryor, who has spent much of the season hitting leadoff for the club, has asked for and been granted his release.

Pryor was hitting .244 with two homeruns and seven RBI.

Also heading home is starting pitcher John Tatum, whose summer season has been shut down due to right elbow soreness. Tatum was 1-2 in four starts with a 4.12 ERA.

The moves made room for OF Ben Scheffer, a 215-pound left-hander from Florida Tech University.

The Cats take on Brainerd for three games starting Tuesday night at Port Arthur Stadium.
