Border Cats team up with TBayTel for new digital TV app

Baseball fans in Thunder Bay will now have the opportunity to watch Border Cat games on their own TV.

Baseball fans in Thunder Bay will now have the opportunity to watch Border Cat games on their own TV.

The team and TBayTel announced Friday the launch of a new digital TV app that will allow fans to watch their home games the next day, if they weren't able to make it to the ballpark.

The app was developed in-house at TBayTel and will be available to all of their digital TV subscribers. Border Cat home broadcasts will be available on-demand the day after the game takes place.

It also features interactive content like player profiles, schedules, Twitter feeds and the Northwoods League standings.

Interim TBayTel CEO Dan Topatigh says the Border Cats are a big part of summertime in Thunder Bay and it's important to keep fans in the loop.

All Northwoods League games, including those involving the Border Cats, are also available live on YouTube starting this season.
