A great goaltending performance was just what the Lakehead Thunderwolves needed Friday night.
Jeff Bosch delivered.
Six days after a 7-1 thrashing – on home ice no less – at the hands of the Ryerson Rams, Bosch stopped 32 of 33 shots fired at him by the host Windsor Lancers, back-stopping the Thunderwolves to a 2-1 win.
Adam Restoule netted the game-winner for LU 3:13 into the third.
Mac McDonell scored late in the first for Windsor, a goal that stood up until the final three minutes of the second, when Ryan Magill tied the game with a shorthanded marker that beat Lancers goalie Parker Van Buskirk.
Lakehead slipped past Ryerson into second place in the OUA West with a 15-5-1 record. The Wolves kept pace with front-running Western, who remained a point ahead, though LU holds a game in hand.
Fourth-place Windsor slipped to 13-9-0.
