If Robert Cumming wants a third consecutive Keg District Open title, he’s going to have to come from behind.
The two-time defending champion trails Barry Caland and Walter Keating Jr. by three strokes after shooting a two-over par 74 at Strathcona Golf Club on Saturday, the opening day of the 36-hole first major of the local golf season.
Dave Joubert, a former Strathcona Invitational finalist, is one shot back after a 72, with Jeff Hunter and Chris Gardner tried with Cumming in fourth.
Sunday’s final round will be played at Whitewater Golf Course.
