Matt Caria had a goal and three assists Saturday night, just enough points to secure the win for the Lakehead Thunderwolves, a 4-3 triumph over the York Lions.

The contest, though technically a home game for the Lions, was played in Orillia, home of Lakehead’s satellite campus.
It was the Wolves (4-2-0) fourth straight victory and fourth in four tries on the road. They’re winless in two home games this season.

Trevor Gamache, with his second in two nights, Devin Welsh, with his third in two games, and Jake Carrick, with his first in a Thunderwolves uniform, also scored for Lakehead, who built a 4-1 lead after 20 minutes, then hung on to win.

Adam Sergerie had three assists, while Gamache added a helper for a two-point night.

Jordan Forfar, who opened the scoring, Matt Thomson and Jordan Davies tallied for the Lions.

After two weekends away from home, the Wolves, tied for top spot in the OUA West, return to Thunder Bay for a pair next Friday and Saturday against the Ontario Institute of Technology Ridgebacks.
