Casillas set to return to Border Cats lineup

The first baseman played 27 games for the Thunder Bay Border Cats last year before a hip injury cut his season short. He’s hitting .298 with 2 HRs and 28 RBIs as a junior for Southern Illinois University this season.

Casillas is among the six players the Border Cats announced Wednesday. Murray State College pitchers John Hayes and Bradley Horn are joining the roster.

Coincidentally Murray State University, a different school altogether, pitchers Kyle Cornett and Canadian Cashtyn Deleeuw and outfielder Ty Stetson are also heading north.
