The Thunder Bay Border Cats are back at .500.

Omar Cotto, Luke Willis and Brett Kay drove in two runs apiece on Monday night, helping the Cats to a 7-2 win over the Duluth Huskies, ending their road trip with a third win in five outings.

Brian Fonfara (W, 2-1) pitched six strong innings for the Border Cats, allowing six hits and two runs before giving way to Matt Cooper to start the seventh.

Cooper was nothing less than phenomenal, tossing three innings of one-hit ball to pick up the save, his first of the season in just his second appearance for the Cats.

Austin Perez was tagged with the loss, departing in the sixth after giving up six runs, all of them earned.

Thunder Bay (10-10), open up a five-game home-stand on Tuesday night at Port Arthur Stadium, where they’ll take on the second-place Waterloo Bucks.

The Cats remain five back of first-place Mankato (15-5).
