The Northwoods League squad dropped its second in a row and fourth in five outings on Friday night, the penultimate game a of a six-game home-stand that has gone anything but well for the Border Cats.

Ryan Froom pitched seven innings of four-hit, shutout baseball to propel the last place Alexandria Blue Anchors (5-19) to a crushing 8-0 road win.

Steve Sada, Matt Duce and Nehwon Norkeh, who homered as part of a three-run eighth, each had two RBI for the visitors.

Julian Loret de Mola took the loss for the Cats, giving up five runs on seven hits before being replaced with one out in the fifth by Mikael Mogues.

The Border Cats (11-12) and Blue Anchors wrap up their two-game set on Saturday, the first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at Tbaytel Park at Port Arthur Stadium.
