The Thunder Bay Border Cats have run their losing streak to six games.

The Northwoods League team was hammered 9-4 on the road Friday night by the Duluth Huskies (10-6), once again taking the early lead only to allow a couple of big innings that put the contest out of reach.

Usually reliable starter Clint Knoblauch (3-5) was roughed up in four innings of work, giving up eight hits, two walks and five earned runs, while striking out four, as the Cats gave up three runs in the fourth inning.

Another three came across in the sixth off reliever Ryan Atwood.

Jason Vosler had a pair of RBI for the Border Cats 3-13), who managed just five hits in five innings off Duluth starter Patrick McGrath. Dan Schmidt pitched the final three innings, allowing two runs, to earn the save.
